Apple Pie: Healthy Version

Apple pie is a delicious desert that everybody loves. When you are the only one "eating healthy " in the family you can substitute a regular apple pie with a healthy oatmeal one and no one will be complaining! Just don't tell them of course;) Just kidding! There is a difference in taste to the 'normal' sweet and pastry filled dish, However it is not a bad one. It has a clean taste with a hint of sweetness that doesn't leave you feeling thirsty or sick!

The recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups of oats
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/3 a teaspoon of salt
  • Raisins (amount depends on how much you want)

  • 1 and 3/4 cups of milk
  • 2 eggs
For toppings: (optional)

  • peanut butter
  • banana

  2. Add all of the dry ingredients into a bowl
  3. Once all the dry ingredients are in the bowl, add the milk and, vanilla essence, eggs, raisins.
  4. Stir all of the ingredients in the bowl AND put aside to soak

Enzymatic vs. Granular Exfoliation

What is the difference? Don't they both do the same job? Is Enzymatic even effective?  Enzymatic exfoliators and Granular exfoliators are both know for the same job: to get rid of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. But, what is the difference and which one is most suitable for my skin? Enzymatic exfoliators are exfoliators without the abrasive kernels in it that brush down on the dead cells on your skin. Except these exfoliators contain enzymes which break down bonds between the dead cells on the surface of the skin which removes dead skins cells faster. Enzymes include bromelain from the pineapple and papain from a papaya. You can use this exfoliator if your skin is more sensitive and you want something less harsh compared to a peel or even a granular exfoliator. One can also use this exfoliator if you experience breakout which is perfect and won't aggravate the skin. Now what is a granular exfoliator? Granular exfoliators are mechanical exfoliators that buff the skin
