Benefits of Vitamin C

Vitamin C is such a powerful antioxidant found in fruit such as apples, oranges and kiwis.
You can add an orange or apple to a smoothie or fruit salad and experience the great benefits.

  • It strengthens your immune system
We all know this one. When we get sick we increase on our vitamin C intake to help our immune system fight off the cold. But having vitamin C everyday can help strengthen your immune system over time and make you more resistant to colds.

  • Its a Good Mood Food
Vitamin C helps you to feel good emotionally. If you have been feeling down lately and need something to boost your mood have a glass of orange juice in the mornings to improve your mood.

  • Vitamin C is great for your skin
It improves your skins defense mechanisms and aids in the formation of collagen. Collagen is responsible for keeping the structure in the skin and gives skin its support. A lack of vitamin C slackens the critical process in the skin.

  • It is a natural anti-histamine.
Have you ever suffered with a sinus allergy, ate an orange and immediately your allergy feels better? This is because the vitamin C acts as a natural antihistamine and fights off those invaders.

Vitamin C can also be found in vegetables such as broccoli, sweet potato, green peppers and cauliflower so if you are more into vegetables there are many options of food that can help increase your daily intake of vitamin C and help you to experience the benefits!

Disclaimer: Coffee is healthy in moderation and it can have negative effects too if you over drink it. This is true with anything and a healthy balance and lifestyle is the goal. With that being said, stick to 3-5 cups of coffee a day and try and space it out. Another tip is to use filter coffee. I know this is expensive but if you stick to 3 cups a day instead of 8 it will take you a long way and you will experience the benefits. It helps you to have bowel movement Having your cup of coffee first thing in the morning ( filter ) helps you to go to the bathroom and remove wastes so you can start your day well and feeling lighter. This helps if you experience constipation often and need something to h...
